Waterlogic, a vertically integrated global designer, manufacturer, distributor and service provider of drinking water systems, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Pure Water Technology, Inc. (PWT) a leading provider of workplace bottleless water solutions and coffee in the Southern California market. PWT is headquartered in Redlands, California with an additional depot in Orange County, California. Waterlogic will maintain these locations as it bolsters its presence in Southern California. The founder and owner, George Squires, started the business in 2006. The company can be found at www.ditchthebottle.com. The acquisition adds 17 employees and over 6,000 machines in field (MIF) to Waterlogic’s existing USA operations.
“We have long admired George’s operations in Southern California. George built an A+ business and was able to build significant scale without sacrificing customer service”. – John Pavlovich, COO, Waterlogic Americas
“My relationship with the M&A team at Waterlogic goes back several years. They were patient and open with me as I grew my business. While I never knew if or when I would sell, I always knew that Waterlogic would be one of the best options for me, my team, and our customers if that time came. I am satisfied with the transaction, how smooth the process was, and I’m excited to watch my employees grow their careers through expanded opportunities at an international company”. – George Squires, Founder, PWT
The combined Waterlogic USA operation will be able to deliver unparalleled service to the workplace hydration market, offering existing and potential customers the most comprehensive offering in POU water coolers, specialty sparkling water, and ice options. The acquisition represents a substantial milestone on Waterlogic’s path towards becoming a global leader in workplace water solutions. Waterlogic is committed to growth in North America, both organically and through acquisition.
“We continue to look to add to our North American footprint with acquisitions that fit our focus on quality customer service. We expect 2018 to be a very exciting year of growth for Waterlogic, and the addition of PWT’s team members and customers is a tremendous start.” – Casey Taylor, CEO, Waterlogic Americas
Waterlogic was acquired in January 2015 by funds managed by Castik Capital, the European private equity investor. The acquisition of PWT is the 15th manifestation of the company’s buy and build strategy since the acquisition by Castik, following substantial acquisitions in the US, UK, Australia, Spain, France, Germany and Scandinavia.
